Ms. Barno received a Bachelors of Science in Accounting from Central CT State University. She joined the Central CT Senior Health Services family in 1994 as Assistant Controller for Bradley Memorial Hospital and Southington Care Center. She came with past experience in accounting as a Senior Health Care Consultant at Arthur Andersen for 3 years and Audit Staff at Ernst & Young for 2 years. In 1997, Ms. Barno helped to achieve a CHEFA bond financing to refinance Southington Care Center debt and obtain construction financing for a building addition at Southington Care Center and to build The Orchards at Southington, a 90 unit assisted living building as well as obtain a CHEFA bond financing to refinance Jerome Home CDA bonds. In 2003, Ms. Barno sought bank financing to purchase Mulberry Gardens Assisted living. In 2007, Ms Barno worked for CHEFA refinancing of Jerome Home bonds and obtain construction financing for building Arbor Rose at Jerome Home, a 62 unit assisted living building. Also in 2007, Ms Barno sought CHEFA refinancing of Mulberry Gardens Assisted living debt.
Ms. Barno is part of many community organizations including Association for Long Term Care Financial Managers where she held positions including: 1994-present board member, 2002-2005 Secretary, 2006-2008 President, currently immediate past president. She is also a member CANPFA Government Relations Committee.
